Rothrock Civil Construction is an Arizona-based civil contractor built on generations of experience, strong industry roots, and a long-standing connection to the infrastructure that helped shape the state.
The Rothrock name honors founder Kent Bergeson’s great-grandfather, George Rothrock, whose work helped support the early development of Arizona’s water infrastructure. In the early 1900s, George Rothrock worked for the Arizona Canal Company, now known as Salt River Project (SRP), helping build and maintain canal systems critical to water delivery throughout the Phoenix area.
At a time when Arizona’s growth depended on expanding infrastructure and reliable water systems, those canals helped support the communities, agriculture, and development that shaped the Valley into what it is today. That connection to Arizona infrastructure, and the hardworking people behind it, continues to influence the company today.

Rothrock was built around experienced crews, strong working partnerships, and a practical approach to civil construction in the field. Today, the company supports commercial developments, underground utility projects, earthwork operations, and site infrastructure work across Arizona.
While Rothrock is a growing company, our team brings decades of hands-on experience across active construction environments throughout the state. Our crews understand the pace of the field, schedule pressures, ever changing site conditions, and the coordination required between contractors, inspectors, engineers, utility providers, and municipalities to keep work moving throughout construction.
